About Civil Service Exam Picture Maker

The Civil Service Commission requires a recent colour ID picture with a white background, collared attire, and a name tag showing your full name — traditionally passport size or 2x2 depending on the announcement. This page pre-selects 2x2 with the name tag on; switch to passport size (35 × 45 mm) if your exam notice says so. Type your name as it appears on your application, download the JPG for online processing and the print sheet for the physical copies.

Pictures are 300 DPI, so the A4 / Long bond print sheet gives you clean copies to bring to the testing centre. Processing is private — the AI cut-out runs in a temporary file that is deleted immediately, and the rest happens in your browser.

How to make a 2x2 or 1x1 ID picture online

  1. 1Upload a front-facing, head-and-shoulders photo in good light — a phone photo is fine. JPG, PNG, HEIC and WebP are accepted.
  2. 2Choose the picture size: 2x2 in (PRC, CSC, NBI, school), 1x1 in (BIR, school), passport size 35×45 mm (DFA), or another preset.
  3. 3Keep "Remove background (AI)" with White selected for a plain white background, or switch to "Keep my background, just crop" if your photo already has one and drag the box over your head and shoulders.
  4. 4Optional: tick the name tag and type your name as "SURNAME, FIRST NAME M.I." — required for PRC and Civil Service exam pictures. Choose JPG and a size limit (e.g. under 2 MB) if you are uploading to a portal, and pick a print sheet paper if you will print.
  5. 5Click Make ID picture, check the preview, then Download picture (and the print-sheet PDF). Print the sheet at 100% / Actual size and cut along the grey lines.

Frequently asked questions

What picture does the Civil Service exam require?

A recent (taken within the last 6 months) colour ID picture with a plain white background, in collared attire, with a name tag showing the examinee’s full name (surname, first name, middle initial), in the size specified by the CSC announcement — commonly passport size or 2x2. Bring the printed copies to the testing centre as instructed.

Passport size or 2x2 for the CSC exam?

Follow the latest CSC examination announcement for your schedule; both have been used. This tool makes either: choose 2x2 in (600×600 px) or Passport size 35×45 mm, and keep the name tag on for both.

Is my photo uploaded or stored?

In AI background-removal mode the photo is processed in a short-lived temporary file that is deleted the moment your picture is returned; in "Keep my background, just crop" mode nothing leaves your device. Nothing is kept, logged or shared.
