About DepEd Grade Calculator
DepEd changed the K to 12 grading system for School Year 2026–2027: DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026 replaces the four quarters with three terms, changes the component weights (Written Work 20% / Performance Tasks 50% / Exam 30% for English, Filipino, Math, Science, AP and GMRC; 20/50/30 for SHS core and academic electives; 20/60/20 for EPP/TLE and MAPEH; other SHS weights per elective type), makes the exam component a mix of two summative tests (30% + 30%) and a term exam (40%), applies an adjusted transmutation table for this school year only (initial grade 70 → 75), and introduces new proficiency descriptors (Advancing, Benchmarking, Connecting, Developing, Emerging). This free calculator does the whole computation: type the total raw score and highest possible score for each component and it shows the percentage scores, weighted scores, initial grade, transmuted term grade and descriptor, plus the final grade across three terms.

How to compute a DepEd grade (DO 015 s. 2026)
- 1Choose the grading system — DO 015 s. 2026 (three terms, SY 2026–27) or DO 8 s. 2015 (four quarters) — and the learning area, which sets the Written Work / Performance Tasks / Exam weights.
- 2Enter the learner’s total raw score and the highest possible score for Written Work and for Performance Tasks. The percentage score (PS = raw ÷ highest × 100) appears next to each.
- 3For the exam component under DO 015, enter Summative Test 1, Summative Test 2 and the Term Exam — they are combined 30/30/40. Under DO 8, enter the Quarterly Assessment.
- 4Read the weighted scores, the Initial Grade and the transmuted Term (or Quarterly) Grade with its descriptor. Untick transmutation to preview the zero-based grading that starts SY 2027–28.
- 5Enter the three term grades (or four quarterly grades) in the Final grade box to get the final grade and pass/fail at 75.

What is the new DepEd grading system for SY 2026–2027?
DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026 (signed June 2026) replaces DO 8 s. 2015: three terms instead of four quarters; weights of 20% Written Work, 50% Performance Tasks, 30% Exam for English, Filipino, Math, Science, AP and GMRC/Values (20/60/20 for EPP/TLE and MAPEH; SHS weights by elective type); the exam component = Summative Test 1 (30%) + Summative Test 2 (30%) + Term Exam (40%); an adjusted transmutation table for SY 2026–27 only; passing grade 75; and descriptors Advancing 90–100, Benchmarking 80–89, Connecting 75–79, Developing 65–74, Emerging 0–64. Kindergarten to Grade 1 (then 2, then 3) move to descriptive grading.
How is the term grade computed?
For each component: Percentage Score = total raw score ÷ highest possible score × 100; Weighted Score = PS × the component weight. Add the weighted scores to get the Initial Grade, then look it up in the transmutation table to get the Term Grade (whole number). The Final Grade is the average of the three Term Grades, rounded.
What is the transmutation table for 2026?
The adjusted table for SY 2026–27 maps initial grades in steps of 1.18 points above 70 (70.00–71.17 → 75, 71.18–72.35 → 76 … 98.32–99.49 → 99, 99.50–100 → 100) and in steps of about 4.67 points below 70 (65.34–69.99 → 74 … 0–4.67 → 60). The full table is in the calculator. From SY 2027–28 grading becomes zero-based with no transmutation (the initial grade is the grade, floor 60).
What were the DO 8 s. 2015 weights and transmutation?
Grades 1–10: Languages/AP/EsP 30/50/20, Science/Math 40/40/20, MAPEH/EPP/TLE 20/60/20 (WW/PT/Quarterly Assessment). SHS: core 25/50/25, academic-track subjects 25/45/30, academic work immersion/research 35/40/25, TVL/Sports/Arts 20/60/20. Transmutation: 100 → 100, then 1.6-point bands down to 60.00–61.59 → 75, then 4-point bands to 0–3.99 → 60. Descriptors: Outstanding 90–100, Very Satisfactory 85–89, Satisfactory 80–84, Fairly Satisfactory 75–79, Did Not Meet Expectations below 75.
Who gets academic awards under DO 015?
In Key Stages 2–4 the Academic Excellence Award goes to learners with a General Average of at least 90 and no final grade below 80, listed alphabetically (no ranking). Key Stage 1 has no numerical awards.
Is this calculator official?
