The sizes are the ones actually asked for in the Philippines and abroad: 2x2 inch (600×600 px at 300 DPI) for PRC / LERIS, the Civil Service exam, NBI clearance, school and company IDs; 1x1 inch (300×300 px) for the BIR digital TIN ID, school IDs and government forms; passport size 35×45 mm (4.5×3.5 cm, 413×531 px) for DFA passports, PRC passport-size boards and most visas; plus 2×2.5 in and 33×48 mm. Every picture is generated at exactly 300 DPI so it prints sharp and passes pixel checks. The AI cut-out runs on our server in a temporary file that is deleted the moment your picture is returned; the crop-only mode, name tag, file-size limit and print sheet are all done inside your browser.
How to make a 2x2 or 1x1 ID picture online
- 1Upload a front-facing, head-and-shoulders photo in good light — a phone photo is fine. JPG, PNG, HEIC and WebP are accepted.
- 2Choose the picture size: 2x2 in (PRC, CSC, NBI, school), 1x1 in (BIR, school), passport size 35×45 mm (DFA), or another preset.
- 3Keep "Remove background (AI)" with White selected for a plain white background, or switch to "Keep my background, just crop" if your photo already has one and drag the box over your head and shoulders.
- 4Optional: tick the name tag and type your name as "SURNAME, FIRST NAME M.I." — required for PRC and Civil Service exam pictures. Choose JPG and a size limit (e.g. under 2 MB) if you are uploading to a portal, and pick a print sheet paper if you will print.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 2x2 picture size in pixels and cm?
2x2 inches is 5.08 × 5.08 cm. At the standard 300 DPI that is 600 × 600 pixels, which is what this tool produces. A 1x1 picture is 2.54 × 2.54 cm = 300 × 300 px, and passport size 35 × 45 mm (4.5 × 3.5 cm) is 413 × 531 px.
Does it meet PRC / LERIS photo requirements?
Yes on the technical side: choose 2x2 (or passport size for boards that ask for 35×45 mm), White background, tick the name tag and enter your name as SURNAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE INITIAL, choose JPG and "Under 2 MB". PRC also requires a recent photo with a collared shirt, neutral expression and no glasses or accessories — that part is on you. Always re-check the current LERIS guidelines before uploading.
Can I use it for the Civil Service exam, NBI clearance or National ID?
The Civil Service exam and NBI clearance accept 2x2 pictures with a white background (CSC also wants a name tag), and many schools, companies and LGUs ask for 2x2 or 1x1 with white background. The PhilSys National ID and DFA passport photos are captured on-site, so you only need a printed picture for the appointment forms where requested.
How do I put a name tag on a 2x2 picture?
Tick "Add white name-tag strip" and type the name, e.g. DELA CRUZ, JUAN S. The tool draws a white band across the bottom of the picture with the name in black capitals, keeping the picture exactly 2x2 in (600×600 px) so it still passes size checks.
How do I print 2x2 or 1x1 pictures on A4 or Long bond paper?
Choose a print sheet paper (4R, A4, Long or Short) before you click Make ID picture. You get a PDF with as many copies as fit — 15 2x2 pictures on A4, 18 on Long bond, 6 on a 4R print, or 70 1x1s on A4 — with light cut lines. Print at 100% / Actual size (not "Fit to page") on photo paper or thick bond paper and cut along the lines.
My photo already has a white background — do I need the AI?
No. Switch to "Keep my background, just crop", drag the box over your head and shoulders, and the tool simply crops and resizes to the exact pixel size. This runs entirely in your browser and keeps studio photos untouched.
Why is my file too big for the portal and how do I fix it?
Choose JPG and a limit such as "Under 2 MB" or "Under 500 KB". The tool re-encodes the picture until it fits, without changing its pixel size. PNG files are larger and cannot be size-limited, so use JPG for uploads.
Is my photo stored on your servers?
No. In AI mode the photo is processed in a short-lived temporary file that is deleted as soon as your picture is returned; in crop mode nothing is uploaded at all. Nothing is kept, logged or shared.
