About PRC ID Picture Maker

Set up for PRC online registration (LERIS): 2x2 inch picture, plain white background, the white name-tag strip, and JPG output kept under 2 MB — LERIS rejects larger files and non-JPG formats. Upload a recent photo in a collared shirt, type your name as SURNAME, FIRST NAME M.I. in the name tag box, and download. If your board asks for passport size instead, switch the size to 35 × 45 mm; the name tag and file limit still apply.

Everything is generated at 300 DPI, so the same picture can be printed for the physical requirements: choose A4 or Long bond paper to get a sheet of copies with cut lines. The AI cut-out runs on our server in a temporary file that is deleted immediately; everything else happens in your browser.

How to make a 2x2 or 1x1 ID picture online

  1. 1Upload a front-facing, head-and-shoulders photo in good light — a phone photo is fine. JPG, PNG, HEIC and WebP are accepted.
  2. 2Choose the picture size: 2x2 in (PRC, CSC, NBI, school), 1x1 in (BIR, school), passport size 35×45 mm (DFA), or another preset.
  3. 3Keep "Remove background (AI)" with White selected for a plain white background, or switch to "Keep my background, just crop" if your photo already has one and drag the box over your head and shoulders.
  4. 4Optional: tick the name tag and type your name as "SURNAME, FIRST NAME M.I." — required for PRC and Civil Service exam pictures. Choose JPG and a size limit (e.g. under 2 MB) if you are uploading to a portal, and pick a print sheet paper if you will print.
  5. 5Click Make ID picture, check the preview, then Download picture (and the print-sheet PDF). Print the sheet at 100% / Actual size and cut along the grey lines.

Frequently asked questions

What are the PRC / LERIS ID picture requirements?

A recent 2x2 inch (some boards: passport size 35×45 mm) colour picture, plain white background, collared shirt, facing the camera with a neutral expression, no eyeglasses or accessories, with a name tag showing SURNAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE INITIAL; uploaded as JPG not larger than 2 MB. This page applies the size, background, name tag and file limit; the clothing and pose are up to you. Check the current LERIS notice for your board before uploading.

How should the name tag be written?

Surname first, then first name and middle initial in capitals, e.g. DELA CRUZ, JUAN S. Type it exactly like that in the name tag box; the tool prints it in black capitals on a white strip at the bottom of the picture.

My phone photo is HEIC — will it work?

Yes. Upload the HEIC directly (AI mode) and the output is a JPG. If your browser cannot preview HEIC, export the photo as JPG from your phone first.

Is my photo uploaded or stored?

In AI background-removal mode the photo is processed in a short-lived temporary file that is deleted the moment your picture is returned; in "Keep my background, just crop" mode nothing leaves your device. Nothing is kept, logged or shared.
